Do you dream of far off places, new sights, smells, tastes, and adventures as a solo female traveler?
Have you been planning the trip of a lifetime but, after asking your partner, sister, best friend, cousin, and/or old high school classmate you barely speak with anymore, found that nobody can take off on a trip with you? Do you worry about how you’ll afford it, that you’ll be lonely, and most of all, how you’ll make sure that you’re safe?
Kristin Addis found herself in the same position in 2012, searching for answers but coming up confused and empty-handed. She just wanted someone to make it all easy for her.
Through traveling, Kristin learned that she is brave, powerful, capable, and strong. You can find the same girl within you. This book was written to help you do just that. This is the time and sanity-saving resource Kristin wish existed before she started traveling. Inside is absolutely everything she knows about solo travel, plus insight from all of the solo female travelers who had helped her along the way with their solid advice and tips.

Book Your Trip: Logistical Tips and Tricks
Book Your Flight
Find a cheap flight by using Skyscanner or Momondo. They are my two favorite search engines because they search websites and airlines around the globe so you always know no stone is left unturned.
Book Your Accommodation
You can book your hostel with Hostelworld. If you want to stay somewhere other than a hostel, use Booking.com as they consistently return the cheapest rates for guesthouses and cheap hotels.
Don’t Forget Travel Insurance
Travel insurance will protect you against illness, injury, theft, and cancellations. It’s comprehensive protection in case anything goes wrong. I never go on a trip without it as I’ve had to use it many times in the past. My favorite companies that offer the best service and value are:
- SafetyWing (best for everyone)
- Insure My Trip (for those over 70)
- Medjet (for additional evacuation coverage)
